Parish of Farlington Building Projects – Church of the Resurrection and St. Andrew’s
The month of August has been interesting! The planned development of the hall at the Church of the Resurrection is at the stage of going out to tender and six price quotes came back to carry out the building work. Needless to say the costs were high, and even the lowest costing has meant a serious re-think about how the work might be possible. As we continue to pursue external funding and grants, we have written to every house in the parish asking for community support for this project. It is our local community who use the parish halls. At present there is insufficient funds to complete one refurbishment project, never mind improving both halls! Perhaps the local community will be generous and step in to help provide the kind of facility that our local area deserves.
