North Portsmouth will be served by the Cosham branch which has been allocated 8 wardens. The Community Warden Service have committed themselves to the communities they serve as follows:· We will allocate a warden to your neighbourhood who will conduct daily foot patrols to reassure you and promote positive behaviour.· Our wardens will seek to build trust and confidence particularly with vulnerable, elderly and young people by being highly visible, approachable and contactable.· We will listen to your concerns and work with you and partner agencies to resolve problems that affect quality of life. Whether it is fly tipping, graffiti, litter, abandoned vehicles, drug dealing or intimidating and anti-social behaviour we will act on your behalf and gather evidence that prevents a minority of people ruining the lives of the majority.· We will engage with existing community groups and promote and support the development of new community groups.· We will recruit volunteer wardens, help build their skills and confidence and involve them fully in the development of local initiatives that tackle clean and safe issues. Community Wardens are available from 10.00 am -10.00 pm Monday - Friday and 2 pm to 10.00 pm at weekends and bank holidays. If you have experienced a problem and would like to talk to a warden or wish to make an enquiry about becoming a volunteer warden please call: 08005870147
